My friends on the internet know me for my work in the newsletter industry.

In the last three years, I worked on nothing but the content, growth and monetisation of the newsletters.

  • I grew Dr Pal’s newsletter from zero to 33k subscribers.

  • Now I work as Head of Content at Neatprompts, a newsletter about AI with 105k+ subscribers.

  • Plus I run three newsletters under my publishing house, Dopecontent.

I run a small, premium community called CognitionX, where creators and business owners who generate revenue via content hang out to share ideas, processes, and transparent results.

Some days ago, I was thinking about “What’s one thing all of us could improve to gain exponential growth?”

Of course, AI is THE hot thing.

Most of us know it is important and should use it. But stuck at the basic prompting to the LLMs.

So we thought, “Why not level up our AI game?”

…and the AI x Marketing challenge was born.

What is the AI x Marketing challenge?

It’s as simple as this sounds.

You use AI to improve your marketing workflows, output quantity/quality, and automate boring tasks.

You go from identifying your bottlenecks to building an MVP, then improving it.

This is not a course or a cohort where I teach AI.

But a community experience, where we learn from peers and actually build solutions.

Less theory, more action.

PS: We are not building apps. We use AI to make our existing marketing workflows more efficient.

Who is this for?

You know you need to use AI, but you’re overwhelmed with all the tools and posts.

You want to get started somewhere, see results for yourself, and feel confident about becoming an AI-first marketer.

You are a mid–senior level marketer or business owner, but a beginner-to-mid level AI operator.

And you have 3-4 hours a week to spend on our challenge.

Tools you might need

To make it simple, we are narrowing down the tool stack.

This is what I recommend, but feel free to use the tools you are comfortable with.

  • Claude Pro ($20 a month)

  • Gemini (Nano Banana for image generation; Free)

  • Github (Free)

  • N8N (Free if self-hosted)

How do we go about the challenge?

It’s a two-week challenge.

Throughout two weeks, you pick one problem to solve and actually get it done. We will get to the details and success metrics in a minute.

Week 0.5

Understand the basics: Workflows, APIs, Webhooks, Projects, Claude features (Connectors, MCP, Skills, Cowork, Code, etc.)

Identify your problem: You will observe your current tasks and routines. Identify what you want to solve the most.

Week 1

Build an MVP.

Build one functionality with AI. Make sure it’s working (no need to be perfect.)

Week 2

Improve the MVP.

Build on top of your core functionality, add more data, features, feedback loops, etc.

PS: The challenge is designed for two weeks intentionally instead of a longer duration. This is to ensure the excitement doesn’t die out, and you gain confidence by actually building a capability end-to-end.

Success Metrics: How do we know this challenge is a success for you?

Week 0.5

You should define your problem statement in one sentence.

Week 1

Your MVP solves a core functionality. Then either screenrecord, share screenshots, or links to show your MVP in action.

Week 2

You show a clear Before vs After difference.

Here is an example of how success metrics would look.

Week 1:

Problem Statement: Content Repurposing Agent that turns long-form content into social media posts.

Problem: I publish content on the newsletter, X, LinkedIn, and Reddit. For every new long-form content I write, I spend 30-45 minutes repurposing it into different platforms’ formats.

What do I want to solve: I want to save time. My agent should automatically convert my long-form content (Google Docs) into different social media post formats.

Week 2:

Content repurposing agent converts source content into LinkedIn posts, personalised to my brand.

Week 3:

Agent converts content not only into LinkedIn posts, but also into Reddit.

Before vs After: I used to spend 6 hours a week on repurposing. Now I only approve repurposed content and schedule all posts within an hour.

Dates: March 9th - 23rd. Two weeks.

Where: Our community is on Discord. We share resources and have conversations on Discord.

Number of Slots: Maximum of 30. We want to pay attention to individuals so we can give each other feedback. Already 9 members are in from within our community.

Bonus:

  • One of our members generates images and videos with AI for a living. He will take a session on Generating Marketing Assets with AI.

  • If you need an accountability group, we host online coworking sessions on weekdays, 9-10 pm IST.

  • We will share resources you need to get started in week 0.5.
